Guests can now read their preferred newspaper beneath the peaks of the Dolomites: The South Tyrolean Hotel and Restaurant Association cooperates with Media Carrier- extensive range of e-papers delights international guests
(Munich, 6 February 2017) – South Tyrolean bacon and the usual newspaper are essential for a break at a South Tyrolean lodge! To ensure that holiday reading – probably the most important part of all – is not missing, the South Tyrolean Hotel and Restaurant Association (HGV) entered into partnership with Media Carrier at the start of the year. The digital experts are providing South Tyrolean association members with their Media Box, which vacationists from far and wide can now use to enjoy the latest digital newstainment. Over 650 international and national newspapers and magazines can be downloaded conveniently from the Media Box e-paper range.
Whether in a walkers’ inn or a stylish designer hotel, digital reading pleasure can now be enjoyed very easily in South Tyrol with the Media Box. When checking in at the hotel reception at a HGV partner establishment, guests also have the opportunity to use the Wi-Fi. When they connect their mobile phones or tablet, they get direct access to the Media Box with a single click. Whether the FAZ or the Washington Post, the desired medium can be downloaded conveniently as a PDF and can thus be read also offline. Newspapers and magazines are presented unabridged in the same layout used in the print versions and can be browsed through easily and intuitively. Readers can also zoom in on individual passages if they wish.
Through the collaboration with the HGV, association members receive attractive special conditions for the use of the Media Box. To include the extensive e-paper offering in their service portfolio, interested hotels only need to get in touch with Media Carrier.
“We are delighted to be able to offer our members an extremely interesting and modern service with the Media Box. We rely on the Media Box to ensure that among others our many international guests do not have to go without their usual morning newspaper – no matter whether they are staying in a hotel high in the mountains or at the secluded head of a valley. This also enables our members to stand out from competition by offering their guests an innovative and customer-friendly, but also environmentally-friendly, paper-free service,” says Elmar Premstaller, Head of the IT/Online Marketing department of the HGV.
With the HGV, Media Carrier has been able to gain another international customer from the hotel industry and to continue its expansion. “South Tyrol is known for its high standard of service in the hotel industry. The hotels and guesthouses there stand out in their willingness to innovate and their high level of customer orientation. With the Media Box, HGV establishments can exceed the expectations of their guests in terms of service quality,” says Sandra Bardewyck, Head of Sales at Media Carrier, explaining the reasons for the partnership.
