Munich, 20.01.2012. Airberlin passengers who have a Silver or Gold Card can download international newspapers and magazines for free in the exclusive waiting area of the airport Berlin-Tegel, since the end of last year.

In the Media Box, a virtual library, the passenger can choose from a wide range of current newspapers and magazines and downloads those with one click on his laptop, tablet PC or smartphone. Media Carrier provides a web based solution that displays e-Paper without further installation and registration. Thus, the passengers can read and save the newspapers and magazines on any laptop, iPad, iPhone or other smartphones.

Since January 1st 2012 Frank Ecker is responsible for the further expansion of the Media Box as the new managing director of Media Carrier. “With Frank Ecker, we have a proven publishing specialist on board who has intensive experience in the marketing and distribution of digital content, “says Dr. Holger Bingmann, further managing director of Media Carrier and managing partner of the Trunk Group. Frank Ecker comes from Axel Springer AG, where he accompanied the establishment of the Premium Content division and contributed significantly to the expansion of the iKisok.

The Media Carrier GmbH supplies hotels and airlines with digital copies of international newspapers and magazines.
