The Media Box, a self-developed digital library for newspapers and magazines from Media Carrier GmbH, is now available in most Radisson Blu hotels in the Central Europe region.

(Munich, 7 April 2015) The renowned Radisson Blu Hotels decided to roll out the Media Box, a platform for digital newspapers and magazines. By this summer, a large number of Radisson Blu hotels in the Central Europe region will be equipped with this service. “The ease of operation and the selection of international quality newspapers and magazines prompted us to go for the Media Carrier white-label solution,” says Holger Herrmann, General Manager & District Director North-East Germany. “It is also in line with Radisson Blu’s active commitment to sustainability,” he added.

The system was tested in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Hamburg Airport and in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Hanover, where guests have had access to the e-paper platform since December last year. “We chose the Media Box because we believe that it adds real value for our guests – particularly regulars. We also considered this in our selection of media. The Media Box fits perfectly to our free Wi-Fi service and also makes it possible for us to conveniently communicate information to our guests,” explains Ronnie Paetow, Director of Sales & Marketing at Radisson Blu Hotel, Hanover. At the same time, guests were asked for their opinion on the new service. The response was so positive that the company is now planning to use the Media Box in other countries in the Central Europe region. “The Radisson Blu Media Box features a uniform design but the selection of newspapers and magazines varies from hotel to hotel, depending on the guest structure and individual requirements,” says Sandra Bardewyck, Key Account Manager at Media Carrier GmbH.

The Media Box extends the hotel chains’ digital services. The Radisson Blu One Touch app permits the booking of hotel services like alarm calls, room service or restaurant reservations.
